Hong Kong, July 2006 - Hoi King Heen's renowned Chef Leung Fai Hung will showcase the historical Luoyang Water Banquet throughout the month of August.
Luoyang Water Banquet (Luoyang Shuixi), also called the "soup banquet", originated in Luoyang, a mountainous province with cool temperatures and crisp dry weather. Due to this particular climate, people use specific methods to preserve and prepare food. Many ingredients were made into soups, or prepared using sour and spicy flavours, this type of cuisine developed an excellent reputation and became well known throughout China.
The menu is taken from the traditional "Water Banquet" and prepared with a modern twist and revered ingredients. Indulge the senses at Hoi King Heen with "Water Banquet" dishes.
