Hong Kong, February 2006 - On Friday, 3rd March, The Mistral will welcome winemaker Mr. Davide Vacchiotto from Batasiolo Wines in Italy, for a special wine dinner featuring a selection of exclusive wines from Piedmont.
The Dogliani family has long fostered a tradition of crafting wines commended for excellence and has honored the family's refined old-world legacy throughout the years. The reputation of Batasiolo Wines have been built upon through the great respect for tradition and delicate care for the grapes, which has allowed the vineyard to consistently offer a large range of high quality and diverse Piedmont wines such as Barolo, Barbaresco and Gavi di Gavi.
On 3rd March, visiting Chef Stefano Paracucchi and Chef Sergio and at The Mistral will present a 5-course menu and Mr. Davide Vacchiotto will showcase the legendary wines from "Batasiolo Winery". Selected wines include Barbera d'Alba Sovrana DOC 2002 - a delicate wine with a ripe fruit scent that harmonizes well with aromatic wood notes. The Barolo DOCG 2000 is full bodied, elegant and velvety with notes of spices and dried fruits, and offers great finesse to the nose and palate. The Moscato d'Asti Bosc d'La Rei 2004 reflects a rich bouquet with a note of overripe fruit that is unique to a Moscato.
The cocktail reception and 5-course menu with paired wine is priced at HK$698 plus an additional 10% service charge.

Hong Kong, February 2006 - Chef Sergio at The Mistral will welcome Chef Stefano Paracucchi, of the legendary Paracucchi culinary family, for a special culinary week from February 27 to March 4, 2006.
The Paracucchi family has long been considered pioneers of Italian Cuisine. Chef Stefano's father will always be remembered as the Chef who created true appreciation all over the world for Italian gastronomy, and was the first Chef to adopt the use of Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
Stefano is Chef of the renowned restaurant "Locanda dell'Angelo", Ameglia, in the province of La Spezia (Liguria) and he will introduce guests to the commitment, passion, knowledge and philosophy of the Paracucchi family - a heritage of fine Italian cuisine.
The culinary voyage across Liguria will include dishes such as Gazpacho Toscana style, with steamed scampi; Squid Ink ravioli with baby octopus and zucchini, fresh tomato sauce; Veal escalope with smoked mozzarella cheese, asparagus and fried spinach and of course delicious deserts like Vanilla "semifreddo" with caramelised strawberries.

Hong Kong, January 2006 - InterContinental Grand Stanford Hong Kong was named Industry High Flyer in the "Hong Kong Hotel" category of the Outstanding Enterprises 2005 Awards. The awards are organized by the prestigious "Hong Kong Business" magazine.
InterContinental Grand Stanford Hong Kong was selected along with fifty other High Flyers including Singapore Airlines, 3M, CLP Power Hong Kong Ltd. and Mercedes Benz China, to name but a few.
