Hong Kong, 25 August 2006 - InterContinental Grand Stanford Hong Kong will celebrate its 25th Anniversary on September 18, 2006.
The Hotel's signature hospitality, world-class cuisine, exceptional amenities, convenient location and magnificent views of Victoria Harbour, have ensured that InterContinental Grand Stanford Hong Kong is a favorite among world travellers and local guests.
Over the years, InterContinental Grand Stanford Hong Kong has accommodated many of the world's rich and famous including Sir David Bowie, Sir Elton John, tennis phenomenon John McEnroe, world-famous magician David Copperfield, and more recently, Andrea Bocelli and the pride of the Chinese nation, the Chinese Olympic athletes.
In October 2005, InterContinental Grand Stanford Hong Kong unveiled the results of a US$38 million revitalisation programme establishing the hotel as a new landmark on the Tsimshatsui East harbour front. The Hotel underwent an extensive refurbishment which included the hotel facade, rooftop Sun Court Pool, Fitness Centre, meeting rooms and driveway.
To celebrate the forthcoming 25th Anniversary milestone, InterContinental Grand Stanford Hong Kong is offering exciting dining options throughout the Hotel. Since the Hotel's inception in 1981, InterContinental Grand Stanford Hong Kong has been serving up an appetising array of fine cuisine to guests and diners alike. In the lead-up to the anniversary celebrations, the Hotel will highlight nostalgic dishes from the last 25 years as a daily special in every restaurant. In addition, six cocktails which have been perennial favourites will be showcased in the bars. With so much on offer, patrons will enjoy a tastebud-pampering experience in each and every restaurant in the Hotel.
What's more, desserts and wines by the glass will all be priced at a celebratory price of HK$25 on September 18.
During the month of September, every patron in our restaurants and bar will have a chance to skillfully win one of 25 prizes including a trip to Rome in romantic Italy, flying with Cathay Pacific, dining prizes, fine wines and more.
Hong Kong, August 2006 - Belvedere Restaurant & Wine Bar proudly welcomes Ms. Alison Harvey from Katnook Estate in Coonawarra, Australia who will present a Winemaker's Dinners on Thursday, September 28.
Katnook Estate is one of the most esteemed domains in the Coonawarra district and covers an area of 330 hectares, which have been owned by the Younghann family since 1967. The climate conditions of Coonawarra have been compared to those of Bordeaux; it is a cool region with long hours of sunshine and cold winters. Such conditions have created a range of wines that are renowned throughout the world.
The cocktail reception, which starts at 7:30pm will feature a selection of Katnook Founder's Block wines - Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon, guests will delight in Chef David's 6-course menu that has been perfectly paired with a selection of the Katnook Estate wines.
