“I love being creative in my kitchen, so I decided to feature some fun and festive items on the menus. Christmas is a very traditional time, and I think it's great to feature some of the dishes that we all know and love, but adding a fresh new twist to the menu creates a wonderful balance of flavours and aromas!” says Chef Darrell.

Hong Kong, 11th November 2004 – The acclaimed Hoi King Heen restaurant at the InterContinental Grand Stanford Hong Kong will feature “Ginseng Specialties” throughout the month of December.

Ginseng, originally a Chinese herb, has been used as both a health product and a herbal medicine for many generations in Asia. Ginseng is widely known to help the body to adapt to situations of fatigue, temperature extremes, mental and emotional stress. While Ginseng is mainly known as a powerful energizer, it also has the distinct ability to act as a sedative when the body requires sleep!

Chef Leung from Hoi King Heen is using ginseng to design a creative and tasty “Ginseng Specialties” menu. Dishes such as Double-boiled black chicken with ginseng which can nourish your skin; creative dishes like Baked fresh king prawn and ginseng wrapped in puff pastry; and Deep-fried garoupa fillet wrapped with bamboo piths and ginseng; while Roasted chicken with ginseng and garlic sauce and Braised mandarin fish stuffed with ginseng, snow frog jelly and red dates are also highly recommended by Chef Leung.
